About Waverley Rd. Church
The Beaches Worship Centre is a Bible-based, Jesus-centred, Spirit-filled, English speaking, multi-ethnic, and missions minded church.
We have been a committed member of the Beach neighbourhood since 1891, and we continue to be a caring family, a community church.
We focus on the practical needs of Torontonians, addressing the everyday situations related to work, home, life and children.
Over 8 languages are spoken among our members including: French, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Burmese, Dutch, Greek, Nigerian, Spanish and Philipino.

Pastor
Rev. Milton Basil
Has been serving Waverley Rd. Church since 1993. Rev. Basil is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario (1976) with a Bachelor degree in Engineering Science. Later he continued his graduate studies at Tyndale Theological Seminary, and received a Master of Divinity degree (1986.)
Pastor Basil was born in Thessalonica Greece, and is fluent in both English and Greek. Being a Greek scholar, he presents the New Testament from a unique perspective!
Pastor Basil offers free counselling to those who have marital problems, or desire to be free from alcohol, drugs, and gambling or sexual addiction.
Staff - Mrs. Angela Basil
Is an associate pastoral staff member of this church. She graduated in 1975 with a degree in business administration from the University of Thessalonica and later on did her theological studies at Reformed Bible College (Grand Rapids, Mich.) Angela spends many hours in teaching, counselling, visitation and discipleship.
Pastor Milton and Angela Basil are a husband-wife team that have the call of God for the ministry, and apply themselves wholeheartedly in serving God’s people.
